Walthamstow Weekend

Martin was out of town for the weekend, so Calvin and I headed out to stay with the Millings in Walthamstow. It was great fun and the kids played really well together - we went to their local soft play, and to a bbq. The only downside was, Calvin spent Saturday night puking his guts out! Luckily it seemed to be a 24 thing and he was up and running again by Sunday night...not so his overtired Mom, though!

Busy Day Part Two...On to City Farm!

This is a great little place in Kentish Town, with ducks, chickens, horses, cows, sheeps, goats, and a few pigs! The kids are allowed to help feed the animals and the man whose voice you hear is great with kids - always teaching them about the animals and the vegetables and flowers growing in their giant garden. You'd never guess there was a huge farm in the middle of the city - and it's free!

Hong Kong Take 2

Back to Hong Kong for a couple of days before heading home after a great 3 weeks vacation.

We went to a temple on a cliff and saw a traditional dance, which kept Calvin entertained for a total of 5 minutes...not bad for humans. The monkeys, however, he could have watched all night!

Villa in Bali - Four Seasons Jimbaran

After a week in central Bali, we moved south to the beach...it was gorgeous, and Calvin loved playing in the largest sandbox he'd ever seen.

We stopped in Ubud at the BEST suckling pig place in the world. Not much to look at, but you take your shoes off and all sit on the floor at low communal tables. The whole meal for three including drinks and snacks and everything was $6. Not bad!

Both resorts had golf carts to take you around, so between the pools and his favourite method of transportation, Calvin thought it was a pretty great holiday :)

Holy Water Fountain

Little did we realise that you were allowed to jump in the fountain to cleanse yourself, body and soul...after Calvin saw the other people in there, it was hard to keep him out!
