Farmor and Lene came for a visit to London, and somehow I didn't take my camera anywhere...including to Calvin's 9th visit to the martini bar!! We had such a nice visit and these pictures are from their last morning here.

We went upstairs to hang out with our neighbour Alex and her twin girls, Ianthe (in the pen) and Florence. Calvin was fascinated by their ability to crawl!

Vestergaard Family Reunion Pics

The annual Vestergaard family reunion was hosted this year by Aase and Christian, who rented out a school in the countryside where we slept in bunkbeds, like at camp! It was good fun, especially since there was a grand total of 45 people, 14 of them under 10 years old :)

These slightly blurry pics were taken on Martin's phone when I realised I had left the camera behind...and of course we had to document Calvin's stop in Germany! This was at a pub in Flensburg, a border town, and is the fifth country on his world tour so far (after England, Denmark, Belgium and France).

We went to an inn in southern Jylland for a few days before heading to Martin's family reunion. One of the places we stopped for lunch served traditional Danish lunch, the way Grandma used to make...Calvin's very first one!

Who Needs a Bib?

I actually remember thinking "It's only one biscuit, how messy can it be?"

Calvin's first haircut

We went to get Calvin's hair trimmed very slightly so I could stop doing the old man comb-over. Actually in his case it was more of a comb-around - he had one long section that went around his head full circle! Much better now, thanks to Alannah at Flaxon Ptooch.

Oooh and look closely at the top picture and you can see another first - Calvin's first tooth!

Digby's First Birthday Party

We met a really fun lady named Amber at the Baby Clinic who had three kids under three - Monty, Digby and Trixiebelle (middle picture). She took pity on Calvin ("an only child?! how sad!") and invited him to Digby's first birthday party. They went all out with a face painter, magician and marquis tent in the backyard and Calvin had a great time!
