Visit with the Moskeys

We met up with the Moskeys, who moved to Hong Kong from London nearly two years ago. Lukas is a little older than Calvin, and the two of them got up to no good!

The flight out to Hong Kong was perfect - Calvin slept about 10.5 of the 12 hours, and was in a great mood for the rest of the time. We arrived to a whopping 32 degrees and humidity that felt like approximately 10000% - went to the park, and Calvin got stuck on the slide due to the heat! But check out the gorgeous pics with our brand new camera bought in HK! The cot and the chocolate are from the hotel :)

Cousin Morten

Calvin had the best time hanging out with his second cousin Morten (who loves kids and once told his mother that one day he wanted to marry a lady with a baby in her tummy!) He pretty much babysat Calvin all weekend and we would just hear peals of laughter pretty much nonstop.

I managed to break the camera when I got to Denmark, so here are just a few shots from my phone of Calvin doing his favourite activities - hanging out at the kiddie fruit stand, riding on the tractor, and of course driving the car!

Calvin actually started the trend for running around with a bucket on his head, but of course as soon as the other kids started imitating him (and the camera came out!) he was done with it! But it's a good glimpse of morning activity at the nursery :)

Tricycle

Once Calvin started walking, he decided the buggy was for losers...which made for some LOOOONG walks. Luckily this tricycle saved the day - when he's not riding it, he likes to push it himself.

Wheels on the Bus

Calvin's not much of a dancer - except to this song! He does his wheel motions every time he hears it.

Fort Box

Martin was away the weekend, so I was coming up with ever more creative ways to keep Calvin entertained...this box actually kept him going for awhile!

So I bought this for Calvin since he LOVES sand...seemed like a brilliant idea at the time, since it keeps him occupied for hours. BUT sand in the bed - not so great :(

Calvin LOVES his ball pit. He's calm in these pics, but lately has taken to putting his chair in the middle of the pit, climbing onto it, and hurling himself down. No fear, this one! He has just started standing all by himself.

Down South

Calvin and I went to visit our friends in South London, and went to playgroup with Kristine and baby Esme (in the video where Calvin is inexplicably rocking) and then on to Christina's house to play with baby Iris.

Busy Day

This was a busy day - in the morning we went to Little Stars in Kentish Town, then in the afternoon to the One O'Clock Club in the Heath, where Calvin likes to hang out in the giant sandbox.

Baking for Beginners...

Laura and I had this great idea that we should bake a cake to entertain the kids (and get a little something yummy out of it ourselves)...so we set about doing it, only to realise, we had no kitchen scales or measuring cups! So we came up with the rather brilliant idea of using identical glasses to figure out how much we were using (for instance, splitting a 500g bag of flour half into each meant 250...etc). And to cap it off, the boiler man was in the kitchen, relegating us to the hallway! Perhaps not the best idea we've ever had, but the cake sure was yummy :)
